As I'm writing this blog, I'm also watching TRavel Channel. A habit which I got from my sister who loves to cook. Actually, I've recorded this episode through my dad's DVR.
Travel Channel: Anthony Bourdain in Singapore. This is actually an old episode, around last year. I just saw on the TV guide and decided to record it so I can watch it after (since I'm watching my favorite TV shows on primetime). Anyway, I got interested in this episode since some of my friends are already in Singapore and soon I'll be joining them, who knows if for work or for a vacation, either way I need to at least have something in mind to visit while I'm there, right?
Tony's one of the favorite place is teh Hawker Center. It's like a food court/food center. A very informal place for dining. He said that you should not miss eating one of Singapore's favorites which is the Chicken Rice. Broiled chicken over a rice. It looks tastier than it looks. Second time he went back to Hawker he tried the Sup Tulang. A bone marrow mixed in a sweet and chili red sauce, which he says, "Food that tastes good and it's actually good for you." Uhm got me to thinking that maybe I should try that too on my visit. It's an Indian recipe which is one of the favorites as well.
I will soon blog again for a follow-up when I get to Singapore. ayt!
